Da Da-Da Duuunnnn...Announcement Time...

Yeah, I'm not even going to try making excuses for my complete lack of blogginess over the last (insert insane number of days/weeks here). This is my final semester as an undergrad student, I've been anxiously awaiting the decisions from the two Master's programs I've applied to, and I've been desperately trying to keep up with my school work and family concerns. However, now that I've made the excuses I just promised not to make, I do have some announcements to share here:

After listening to me whine, worry, and obsess for the last 4 years, I think you should all know that I have been accepted to not one of my schools, but BOTH of them!!! What?!? Yes, you read that right. Go ahead and take a deep breath or two. I'll wait.

Feeling better? Okay then.

Yes, after months, weeks, years of anxiously wallowing in worry, I have indeed made it. I will be attending my school of choice this upcoming fall semester as a grad student. It's hard to believe. After all these years, all of this hard work, I'm in. I'm really excited. Thrilled, even. It's just so surreal. I'm actually doing this. It's terrifyingly fantastic. Whew!

As for my next announcement, I just wanted to brag a little more. As a graduation gift to both of us, Ty's Aunt Jitter is sending us on our dream vacation to England!!! ENGLAND!!! We could not possibly be more excited! The Chiddlers are staying with my amazing parents while we're gone, and we will be spending two glorious weeks listening to the dulcet vowels and enjoying the beautiful views and exquisite history of our ancestral home country. Ahhh. So wondrous.

Okay, I think that's enough for one post. Thanks for tuning in.

  1. Wow, congratulations! Two schools? I can't even imagine going to one school, and here you're going to be going to two at once!

    (That's just a joke. Maybe)

Also, cheers to the England trip! The closest I've ever been/ever will be is probably the English bar down the street that makes terrible, terrible food. You know, for the authentic English dining experience. So color me jealous.

    1. Definitely NOT going to two grad school programs. Just one. Thankfully.

We are SUPER excited about finally going to England. Even if the food isn't great, the sights should make up for that in spades! :)

  3. Congratulations on the schools thing, sounds like you have a busy time ahead.

I've holidayed in England loads of times, literally hundreds. But I live here so I guess it's not that impressive. Also don't believe all the stereotypes, there's some great food here. Where abouts in England are you going? Hope it's not just London.

I'm more exotic these days, I holiday in Wales! Much nicer.

    1. Nope, not just London, although we'll be starting there. We're going to Bath, York, Nottingham, Stratford Upon Avon, Chawton, and a bit of Wales (and a few other places along the way) - not necessarily in that order. It's a good thing we've given ourselves 2 weeks to get it all done! Even then it's gonna be quite a whirlwind!

    2. I've been here 45 years (almost) and still discovering new things. York is beautiful (especially if you love history) but Jorvik is closed until next year because of the floods. Can't wait to hear what you think of my corner of the world.

      Enjoy.
